When is Registration?

Opens April 1st and closes May 1st

 

When does the season start?

Opening night is June 23rd and run for 4 weeks plus two weeks of playoffs. 

June 23rd - Opening Night

June 30th - League wide bye in observance of the July 4th Holiday

July 7th - Regular Season Game #2

July 14th - Regular Season Game #3

July 21st - Regular Season Game #4

July 28th - Playoffs

August 4th-Playoffs

 

 

Where are the games?

Games are primarily at Aviara Park in Carlsbad, on the beautiful turf field. 6440 Ambrosia Ln, Carlsbad, CA 92011. We may also have games at Alga Norte or Poinsettia Park, as well (both in Carlsbad). 

 

Where and what time will practice be?

Before the game. Practice will be minimal. 

 

What equipment do I need?

Cleats, mouth guard, solid colored shorts (same as the rest of the team) with no pockets. 

 

How can I volunteer to coach?

Send an email to christina4fnl@gmail.com and cc nccfnl@gmail.com with the subject “Summer League Head coach.” Indicate what grade your player is in when you volunteer. Also include your cell phone, zip code, your player’s grade and what school your player attends. You can also request to be a Head Coach during the online registration. 

How many players per team?

Nine players with free substitutions. No need to wait until the end of each quarter to sub in. 

Can I request a friend? 

We try our best to honor requests, however, this is not a guarantee that this request can be granted. Groups of 3 or more friends will not be placed on the same team unless a parent is willing to be the head coach. 

 

How much does it cost?

$200- includes jerseys, flags shorts  

 

Can I get a refund?

Refunds of $125 are available until the first game of the season. After this point no refunds will be issued.

 

Is the uniform provided?

Jerseys come as part of registration. Shorts purchase is optional.  

 

Are there playoffs? 

Kindergarten does not have playoffs. All other divisions (1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade divisions) have a single elimination playoff tournament after the regular season.  

 

When will I hear from my coach?

Coaches will get their rosters June 25th Coaches will begin contacting players soon thereafter. If you haven’t heard from your coach by July 1st, 2021, please email nccfnl@gmail.com

Is it too late to get a refund? 

A refund of $125 is available until the first game is played. 

 

Does every division get a participation trophy?

Kindergarten and 1st/2nd division players ALL receive trophies. 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th division players only receive trophies if they earn 1st or 2nd place in the playoffs. 

 

Can my child play if he gets injured and is wearing a cast?

No. 

 

Are dogs allowed on the fields at the games?

For the safety of others, DOGS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
