Game Locations for SPRING 2026

Most games will be held in Carlsbad at Poinsettia Park and Alga Norte. We will also be possibly holding some games this Spring season at  La Costa Canyon HS, San Marcos HS, Cal State San Marcos. More information to come!

When does registration open?

Nov 1st 

When does the season start?

Mid-February. Each team will have 9 games MINIMUM and up to 15 games over 3 months (February to May).  All teams make playoffs (except Kindergarten).    

Where are the games?

Games will be played at the following venues: Poinsettia Park, Alga Norte, Carlsbad High School, Poinsettia Elementary, Pacific Rim Elementary, La Costa Canyon High School and Cardiff Sports Park. We will also hold some games at Cal State San Marcos.

When do games take place?

Most games will be on Fridays, but your team could play a game or two during the week, most likely a Thursday.

Where and what time will practice be?

Practice times and locations are up to each coach. We do the best we can to match you up with a team in your area/ school but can not guarantee it.

What equipment do I need?

Cleats & a mouth guard. Uniforms and flags provided.

What size football does my player play with?

Kinder through 2nd grade play with a small ball or size 3 oz, 3rd through 6th play with a medium ball or size 5oz, 7th through 8th play with a large ball or size 7 oz.

How can I volunteer to coach?

Please fill out the Coach's volunteer form linked above. 

If I coach more than one team will FNL arrange my  game schedules  to avoid conflicts in time and location?

ONLY if you are the HEAD COACH of multiple teams. FNL cannot adjust schedules to accommodate coaches who serve as a head coach for one team and an assistant coach for other teams.

 

How many players per team?

Nine players.

Can my child play on multiple teams?

No. Each player is allowed to only play on one team. Since every season there is a waitlist, we want to allow for as many kids as possible to play.

Can I request a friend? 

We try our best to honor requests, however, this is not a guarantee that this request can be granted. Groups of 3 or more friends will not be placed on the same team unless a parent is willing to be the head coach. 

How much does it cost?

$385 ( or $128 a month - the season runs for 3 months )

Can I get a refund?

Refunds of $250 are available until February 1st. After this point no refunds will be issued.

Is there a discount for siblings?

We do not offer sibling discounts.

I​s the uniform provided?     

There is a $50 uniform fee for Jerseys and shorts.  However, teams who find a business sponsor will be reimbursed for their uniform fee.    

Why the new uniform fee?

We did a survey that was sent out to all coaches and players over the last year asking them if they would prefer to pay the individual fees instead of find a business sponsor. Overwhelmingly people wanted to pay the individual fee. Each team still has the option to find a business sponsor and FNL will refund the team's uniform fees if they do in the form of a check or venmo to the team's coach to distribute to the players.

How much and what is the sponsorship fee?   

We give each team an opportunity to find a Business Sponsor for $450. This gives our local businesses a chance to contribute to the community while getting a tax deduction. The business name is featured on the website. If the team finds a sponsorship, they will be reimbursed their uniform fee from FNL.

Are pictures included?   

FNL hires Ultimate Exposures picture company to hold picture day. Each player will get a voucher good for a free 5 X 7 of their team, or the voucher can be used towards purchasing other items.  

Does FNL have extra jerseys on hand?

Unfortunately we do not have extra jerseys on hand. They will need to be ordered separately. Ordering jerseys takes 10-14 days for ordering, processing and delivery.

Are there playoffs? 

Yes, all divisions (except kinder) will have playoffs usually lasting two weeks-sudden elimination.

When will I hear from my coach?

Coaches will begin contacting players soon thereafter. If you haven’t heard from your coach by January 22nd, 2026, please email nccfnl.logistics@gmail.com and cc nccfnl@gmail.com

Who receives medals/trophies?

1st and 2nd place PLAYOFF winners receive medals/trophies. No regular season trophies.

Can my child still play if he/she gets injured and has to wear a cast?

For the safety of all kids, NO.

Are dogs allowed at the fields at the games?

For the safety of others, DOGS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
